The Autumnal Equinox Arrives, Cooler Weather and Visions of Holiday Shoppers

This season retailers are hoping the economy is rebounding and people will spend some of the dollars they have been squirreling away in their mattresses (literally some felt that was the safest place). All indications from the retailer advertisers we have spoken to seem to point to a better holiday season than last year and with the stock markets uptick it might seem so.

That being said we wanted to share some information from the Arbitron 2009 In Car Study which updated the 2003 study, of significance was the increase in time spent in a car during an average week-it increased 31% from 2003. Those additional car hours are music to our ears (though commuters might not like it).

Other interesting statistics are the over 50% of people who received directional information from outdoor advertising and 24% said they immediately visited a business due to an outdoor message. And if you think radio is the way to go for your advertising message take a look at this statistic-over 40% learned about or were reminded to listen to a radio station via outdoor advertising. The difference with mobile outdoor from static outdoor is very simple– Reach & Frequency. We have on average 85% reach and 20x frequency based on our mobile high traffic exposure plans. The other interesting fact about mobile outdoor is that we are able to cater to our advertiser’s needs via demographic location. Advertiser’s can provide us with a zip code list and we can design exclusive campaigns just for them.  More than half of people 18 and older who viewed outdoor advertising learned about an event they were interested in attending–ironically GetMobile has their advertising vehicle at many large events and advertises future events at those venues as well.  If the statistics above don’t have you seeking out GetMobile to be your choice for outdoor mobile advertising then we don’t know what will.  Perhaps some more photos of our successful campaigns below.

Catch A Rae-Action For Alex Road Race and Walk that took place on September 13th was a big success with over 400 runners/walkers and GetMobile was proud to help a great cause by appearing at the event to increase awareness of the race/walk.

Hudson Valley Wine and Food Festival, Rhinebeck, NY
